I am an Architectural Lighting Designer living and working in New York City.  I spent five years designing in theater, but decided to go back to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Architectural Lighting Design at Parsons The new School for Design.  I will graduate in May of 2010.

My interest in larger scale design challenges, including urban planning and sustainability, are what led me to leave the theater to pursue lighting in the architectural realm.  In my career, I hope to use my skills as a lighting practitioner to enhance the overall environmental design of built space.

I find inspiration in the visual representation of narrative; I look for it and I try to infuse my work, both in theatrical and architectural lighting, with a plot.   Storytelling becomes a methodology of design in my work.

I also love music, cooking, travel, and jokes.
